What is included in the 8 week classes?
Everything. You do not need to buy anything else. You will get and have access to everything you need. The cost of glazing and firing are all included.
What if I have to miss a class?
As long as a seat is available within another similar class students that have missed a class will have first priority to be able to make up a missed class during the 8 week class.
Missed classes must be made up within the 8 week timeframe. Exception Beginner and advanced beginner students missing the last class (glazing) will be provided with next available glazing classes available. Intermediate and advanced students are allowed to glaze on their own to complete work.
bisque work will only be held for up to 60 days. All work must be completed as soon as possible.
Is there time for practicing outside of class?
Yes. Unless a private event is fully filling the studio space, students can come and practice. The calendar is kept up-to-date with one time events. Students may also text me to find out if a space is available before coming. The school is available to students from 9AM to 10PM.
Do you offer kiln rentals?
With EXTREME caution we are allowing kiln rental on a case by case basis.
Each request will receive scrutiny. Artists renting the kiln will be responsible for paying to repair or replace the kiln and shelves if damaged.
7 Cubic Foot Kiln rental is $225 for non-students.
Students and former Students with appropriate level of experience may be allowed to rent the kiln for non-class work at $100 per firing. half kiln rental (up to 4 half shelves not to exceed 13” total in 27” kiln) $50 Current Students in class automatically receive up to half a kiln of work- exceptions for sculptures needing a full kiln to fire.
Glaze firings with questionable glazing or glazes known to run will require clay cookies made with High fire clay (cone 10)
