Explore Our Combination Clay Classes and leverage both the potters wheel and hand-building techniques. Helping you take your work to the next level.

Whether you're new to ceramics or looking to enhance your skills, our classes offer a welcoming environment to learn and create.

Classes are 8 weeks long

Class Cost: $330

Cedar Oak Farm reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment.100% of funds will be returned if this occurs. Students cancelling enrollment must occur within 7 days of class start to receive a refund less a $25 processing fee. There are no refunds for students canceling or “postponing” within 1 week of class start date.  Cedar Oak Farm is unable to accommodate unexpected life events that may prevent attendance. Cedar Oak Farm will allow students to sit in on other classes if a seat os available. We can not guarantee availability, but do try to provide options for you to make up a class when possible. Classes can not be made up after the 8 week course has completed - with one exception - If you miss the last class (Glazing) you will be allowed to attend another glazing class to finish your work.

Class includes use of tools, clay, apron, towel, glazes and firing of work from class.

Beginner - Advanced Beginner Clay Class

We call it "A TASTE IN CLAY”

Clay classes combine learning about Hand Building and Wheel Throwing. The Beginner and Advanced Beginner class provides 3 weeks of Hand Building, 3 Weeks of Wheel Throwing and 2 Weeks of finishing of work including glazing.

This is a great class for anyone unsure of what to try first and students that have taken wheel throwing but want to learn hand building without losing momentum in what they have learned so far on the wheel.

Intermediate & Advanced Classes

For students with a solid foundation in centering, pulling walls, and trimming. This class focuses on refining your skills and creating complex forms leveraging hand-building and wheel throwing and more complex surface design techniques.

Minimum requirement able to throw a 6” wall with consistency.
